Zentangle Art Workshop with Heather
Zentangle Art Workshop with Heather
Do you like to doodle? Do you like patterns and shapes? Can you hold a pen? Then Zentangle is for you! The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. The creators of the Zentangle, Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, call the patterns used in these drawings, tangles. You create tangles with combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves and orbs…really any shape or line. These patterns are drawn on small pieces of paper called "tiles," which can then be assembled into mosaics. Zentangle art is non-representational and unplanned so you can focus on each stroke and not worry about the result.
Heather Baker will instruct students on the basics of doodling using patterns, shapes, lines, and whatever else you can doodle on small squares of drawing paper. I will provide the paper and pens, you provide your imagination. Let’s have a little fun making little squares of art.
